Uwingi-taaluma wa bembelezi za waswahili

Dhana ya uwingi-taaluma ina maana ya kuunganisha au kuhusisha ujuzi anuwai wa kitaaluma katika mtazamo wa mada au tatizo. Mkabala wa uwingi-taaluma hulenga kueleza tatizo nje ya mipaka ya kawaida kwa kuungwa mkono na mikabala tofauti kutoka taaluma mbalimbali na kufikia suluhu zilizo na misingi yake katika uelewa wa hali changamano (Koski na Savolainen, 2016). Bembelezi za Waswahili zinaakisi uchangamano huo; kwamba zinaonekana kuwa na majukumu anuwai katika jamii. Majukumu kama vile ya utakasaji hisia, mawasiliano, uelimishaji halikadhalika uadilishaji. Majukumu haya ndio yanayoibua hisia kwamba zina uwingi-taaluma na hivyo kuwavutia watafiti kuchunguza taaluma mbalimbali zilizomo. Utafiti uliongozwa na nadharia ya uwingi-taaluma kwa mujibu wa Al-Saleem (2018). Data za bembelezi za Waswahili zilikusanywa katika Kisiwa Faza. Washiriki 11 wa kike wenye umri kati ya miaka 18 na 65 waliteuliwa kwa kuelekezwa na mmoja akateuliwa kimaksudi ili kusailiwa. Vikundi lengwa viwili vya mjadala, kila kimoja kikiwa na wasailiwa sita viliundwa kwa misingi ya umri, na data ya bembelezi 20 ikakusanywa kutokana na vikundi hivyo. Hatimaye bembelezi 10 ziliteuliwa kimaksudi ili kuchunguza uwingi taaluma uliomo. Data zilichanganuliwa kimaelezo. Matokeo ya utafiti yalionyesha dhahiri kwamba bembelezi zina uwingi-taaluma na hutumiwa katika miktadha ya shule, nyumbani, matibabu na mingineyo. Utafiti huu unatoa mchango wa kiusomi kwa watafiti wajao wa fasihi simulizi, wataalamu wa masuala ya elimu, wahudumu wa afya, wanasaikolojia na wanataaluma wengineo hususan wa taaluma zilizoshughulikiwa katika makala haya.

The concept of multi-disciplinarity refers to integrating or connecting diverse academic knowledge in examining a subject or problem. A multidisciplinary approach aims to explain a problem beyond conventional boundaries by incorporating various perspectives from different disciplines to reach solutions rooted in an understanding of complexity (Koski & Savolainen, 2016). Swahili lullabies reflect this complexity; they appear to serve multiple roles in society, such as emotional cleansing, communication, education, and moral guidance. These roles evoke the idea that lullabies are multidisciplinary, thereby attracting researchers to examine the various disciplines embedded within them. This study was guided by the theory of multi-disciplinarity according to Al-Saleem (2018). Data on Swahili lullabies was collected from Faza Island. Eleven female participants aged between 18 and 65 were selected through snowball sampling, with one selected purposively for research purposes. Two focus group discussions were formed based on age, each with six interviewees, and 20 lullabies were collected from these groups. Ten lullabies were purposively selected for analysis. Data were descriptively analyzed. The findings clearly show that lullabies are multidisciplinary and are used in school, home, healthcare, and other contexts. This study makes an academic contribution to future researchers of oral literature, education specialists, health workers, psychologists, and other scholars especially those in the disciplines addressed in this paper.
