La pratique de l’intercession intercontinentale dans l’accomplissement de la grande commission du Seigneur Jésus-Christ

Le but de cet article est de contribuer à la documentation des stratégies pratiques à utiliser par l’église pour répandre l’évangile dans le monde entier, en mettant en exergue l’intercession évangélisatrice et missionnaire que nous appelons intercession intercontinentale, comme outil de soutien à l’évangélisation et à la mission, à travers les pratiques théologiques, afin de contribuer à l’accomplissement de la grande commission du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. La question qui nous préoccupe est de savoir: «Comment contribuer à atteindre le monde entier pour annoncer l’évangile ? » C’est ce qui nous a poussés à utiliser la méthode mixte et la méthode de corrélation triangulaire et, grâce à ces méthodes, nous avons réalisé cet article. En fait, mille deux cent soixante-cinq (1265) membres de l’église locale de la CEPAC Filadelfia Mukukwe ont été regroupés en cinq rassemblements dénommés «Continents chrétiens», et chacun d’eux a intercédé quotidiennement, hebdomadairement, mensuellement et annuellement en faveur des pays constituant le «Continent». Ainsi, deux cent quatre (204) pays du monde entier ont été concernés par cette pratique afin de contribuer à l’accomplissement de ladite grande commission du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. La pratique de l’intercession intercontinentale est l’une des stratégies ecclésiales permettant de participer à l’accomplissement de la grande commission de Jésus-Christ, prescrite dans Matthieu 28, 18 – 20. Ce devoir incombe à toute église vivante (évangélisatrice et missionnaire). L’Intercession intercontinentale est donc l’une des stratégies praticables que les églises peuvent mettre en œuvre pour participer à l’expansion de l’évangile sur les cinq continents.

The aim of this article is to contribute to the documentation of practical strategies that the Church can use to spread the Gospel throughout the world, with particular emphasis on evangelistic and missionary intercession, which we refer to as intercontinental intercession, as a tool to support evangelisation and mission through theological practices. This approach seeks to contribute to fulfilling the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. The central question addressed in this study is: “How can we contribute to reaching the entire world with the proclamation of the Gospel?” To answer this, we employed a mixed-method approach combined with a triangulated correlation method, which enabled the completion of this research. In practice, one thousand two hundred sixty-five (1,265) members of the local church CEPAC Filadelfia Mukukwe were organised into five groups called “Christian Continents.” Each group engaged in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual intercession on behalf of the countries within their assigned “continent.” In total, two hundred four (204) countries worldwide were included in this practice, thereby contributing to the fulfilment of the aforementioned Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. Intercontinental intercession is thus presented as one of the ecclesial strategies that enables participation in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as prescribed in Matthew 28:18–20. This responsibility belongs to every living church (evangelistic and missionary in nature). Therefore, intercontinental intercession is a practical strategy that churches can implement to participate in the expansion of the Gospel across the world's five continents.
